The story centers on two codependent best friends whose lives are defined by their intense, exclusive bond. Their world is upended when they encounter an “alien narcissist” whose presence is as intoxicating as it is mysterious. They quickly find themselves “addicted to the heroin-like touch” of this otherworldly being, a sensation that provides an unparalleled euphoria but demands total submission. This physical and emotional dependency begins to erode their friendship, as their individual identities are subsumed by their craving for the creature’s attention.
