The Heirloom (2024)

Set against the backdrop of a global lockdown, the story follows Eric, a filmmaker struggling with a severe case of writer’s block. To fill the void of his stagnant creativity and the long winter ahead, he and his girlfriend, Allie, decide to take a major step in their relationship: adopting a dog. As a quintessential modern couple—vegan, ethical, and admittedly neurotic—the decision is not made lightly, involving exhaustive research and endless negotiations over every detail of their future pet’s life.
