As the “game” progresses, the basement setting becomes a claustrophobic chessboard. Skylar uses the very costumes and props meant for her imprisonment to set traps, turning his obsession with theatricality against him. The film culminates in a high-stakes battle of wits where the roles of predator and prey are blurred, forcing the captor to participate in a lethal finale of Skylar’s own design. Their confrontation serves as a harrowing exploration of survival, proving that the strongest weapon in any cage is the intellect of the person trapped inside.
