When his notoriously stingy father refuses to part with a single riyal, Sattam and his sketchy friend Yacob (Yazeed Almajyul) hatch a “fail-proof” plan: they will stage a fake kidnapping of Sulieman and demand a massive ransom from their own family. However, the plan immediately spirals into a hilarious nightmare as the kidnappers end up bonding with their victim over prayers and fashion, while Sattam’s greedy brother and sister-in-law begin to question if the ransom is even worth paying. It’s a fast-paced, 85-minute “chaos-comedy” that proves family ties are often more complicated than a ransom note.

The film’s focus on the father-son relationship is what makes it so impactful. Powerful!
