The story follows Xu Chuan, a professional at a game company whose life is consumed by the development of a “new horror VR game.” In a search for authentic atmosphere, he “accidentally brings home a broken clay doll from a haunted house,” unaware of the dark history attached to the object. What seemed like a simple, broken prop soon becomes the epicenter of a domestic nightmare. The boundary between the digital horrors of his work and the physical reality of his home begins to blur, setting the stage for a haunting that defies logical explanation.
