While working as a “humble” intern at his own family’s estate, Ovee falls head-over-heels for Amahle (Masali Baduza), a brilliant and hardworking medical student who has no time for entitled rich kids. To win her heart, Ovee must maintain the facade of a struggling worker. However, as their connection deepens and the wine festival approaches, the comedic web of lies begins to unravel, forcing Ovee to decide if the truth is worth risking the first real love he’s ever found.
Yeah tbh, the plot could use some more work, still a great movie though!
Yaaassss, finally someone agrees with me! Maybe they shoulda fleshed out the supporting cast more
Lol yeah that’s a great idea! But tbh, I thought the ending made sense in retrospect
Gonna be real, I was rooting for Ovee since the beginning. Such a sweet love story
Agreed, tbh, but also didn’t it leave us feeling kinda hopeful?
Gonna be real, I almost cried at the climax. The tension between Ovee and his family is palpable
What about the character development? Did anyone else feel like some characters fell flat for them?
Agreed! It’s amazing how Ovee evolves from this entitled rich kid to an actual genuine person
This debate is lit! Who else thinks we shoulda gotten a whole second movie or something?
Actually just rewatched it and tbh it makes more sense now. Great movie
TBH, I’m kinda surprised we didn’t discuss Masali Baduza’s accent more lol
Absolutely, I loved every minute of it, except the ending. Can we talk about that?
Same here! Glad we had this debate tho, made me appreciate it even more. 👏
I loved the movie but tbh the plot was a bit predictable for me
Yeah, I agree with you tbh, but I still had a great time watching it! 😊 The acting is superb
@Piotr, didn’t notice but that’s a great point! The family dynamics really make the story pop
Definitely agree on the family aspect! Though, I’m curious, what did you guys think of Masali Baduza’s performance?
Oh man, where do I even begin? I loved Masali in this, she stole the show for me
I loved Inês’s analysis! Though, imo, Pooja had some great points about the plot too
I’m not sure about Pablo’s take tbh, seems like we need more context on the plot points
Lol yeah that’s true, kinda thought that would be a big deal. What were your thoughts on Ovee’s character?
Yaaassss Ovee and Amahle’s romance is everything and more!
Gonna keep this debate going, tbh, but overall it’s an amazing movie with such a compelling story
@Kofi, imo, that’s natural growth in their relationship
Loved the cinematography and visual effects, btw!
@Ayanda, I felt that way about some parts too, tbh…
No way! I loved every part of it! The way Ovee and Amahle’s love story unfolds is pure magic
@Diego, how did you feel about their family dynamics? I had mixed feelings
I feel like he’s a pretty complex character, with some amazing growth throughout the story
@Pascal, I agree on that, but tbh their relationship does get a lil’ too comfortable for my taste
Love and Wine (2025) is a real emotional rollercoaster! 🤯
Agreed, but what’s with the ending? TBH it was kinda abrupt.
I feel like it wraps up a bit too quickly, but hey, I guess it leaves us wanting more. Who else thought that?
