Following the sudden death of her father, Vira watches her family’s stability shatter as her mother, Yanti, suffers a violent mental breakdown. In a desperate bid for a fresh start, the family moves to a new city and opens a hair salon, hoping that work and a change of scenery will heal their wounds. But as the scissors begin to snip, the veneer of recovery peels away.
Yanti begins to exhibit erratic, predatory behavior that transcends mere mental illness. Her obsession turns inward on the family, manifesting as a disturbing and violent preoccupation with her son’s private life. As Vira digs into the shadows of their new home, she uncovers a terrifying truth: her mother isn’t just losing her mind—she’s becoming a vessel. A dark ritual and a brewing demonic possession are only the surface of a much deeper, more ancient evil that demands a blood sacrifice from the very heart of the family.
